The Roanoke Rapids Parks and Recreation Department runs youth basketball and flag football leagues. Other youth sports such as baseball, softball, soccer, and tackle football are run by volunteer organizations in Roanoke Rapids.

Registration for all youth basketball and flag football is held at T. J. Davis Recreation Center. A copy of the child's birth certificate is required to register for any youth sport.

Adult Basketball Coaches Meeting held in November.
$250.00 plus $15.00 for each non-resident will be due when signing up a team.

Total entry fee for adult basketball leagues will be based on the number of teams and games played.

Senior Men’s: 30 and over (Must be 30 years old by Dec. 31, 2005) Must live or work within a ten (10) mile radius of the city limits of Roanoke Rapids.

Industrial: Players must be a full time employee for team company.

Adult Softball Coaches meeting held in June for persons interested in placing a softball team in one of the following leagues: Men’s Open, Men’s Industrial, Women’s Open, Co-Ed, and Church. For all leagues you must work or live in Northampton or Halifax County.
